Για επικείμενη κινεζική εισβολή στην Ταϊβάν έκανε πριν λίγο λόγο ο υφυπουργός Εξωτερικών της χώρας Francois Wu,
Ο Wu δήλωσε στο Sky News ότι η Κίνα προετοιμάζεται ενεργά για την πραγματοποίηση εισβολής στο νησιωτικό κράτος το οποίο θεωρεί δική της επικράτεια. Σύμφωνα με άλλες πληροφορίες ο κινεζικός Στρατός έχει ξεκινήσει τη συγκέντρωση δυνάμεων στην πόλη Fujian η οποία βρίσκεται απέναντι σποτ την Ταϊβάν και θα μπορούσε να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως βάση εξόρμησης των αποβατικών δυνάμεων.

Παράλληλα το Πεκίνο φέρεται να έχει απειλήσει τις ΗΠΑ ότι οποιαδήποτε απόπειρα να υπερασπιστεί την Ταϊβάν , την οποία θεωρεί δική της επικράτεια τότε οι αμερικανικές βάσεις σε Ιαπωνία και Νότια Κορέα θα αποτελέσουν νόμιμους στόχους.
