The existent contract with Intracom Defence Electronics for the production of 6.500 radio stations has been modified by the ministry of Defence so that the last 1.000 will be the upgraded version TRC-9200 V3 instead of the previous V2 which in no longer in production by Thales. The V3 version is an evolution of the previous models and integrates improved software.

The TRC-9200 is a portable VHF/FM receiver/transponder with high degree ECCM protection thus assuring reliable communication in an Electronic Warfare Environment and offering a large range of high quality services. The TRC-9200 of the PR4G family includes a full range of radio stations indercom function in all modes (Handheld TRC-9100, Portable TRC-9200, on vehicle TRC-9300, airborne TRC-9600), a complete range of accessories including (but not limited to) the TRC-9750 handphone, unit remote control TRC-9730, tactical data terminal TRC-9710 and other additional equipment, thus satisfying various operational needs. It can be used with various types of batteries (NiCd, Lithium, Alcaline Dry Cells) and antennas.
